Join us for a lively open ended discussion about Latinas/os and the presidential election in the year of Clinton and Trump.  With 58% of Latino voters currently supporting Hillary Clinton, 20% Donald Trump, and 13% back Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson, the top issues for Latino voters include the economy, health care, terrorism, immigration, and education.  Pew Research Center’s National Survey of Latinos has found that while immigration is widely viewed as an important priority among Hispanics, the economy, education and health care often are seen as important or more important.  We will discuss these issues and others just days before our country chooses the next president.

Speakers:

  • Lourdes Barroso De Padilla, Senior Director of National Events and recently named Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan
  • Leo J. P. D’Cruz, Latino Vote Director/Deputy Political Director of Ohio Together Campaign

Event is free and open to the public.
