CES Student Travel and Research Grants

The CES awards several small grants every year in support of students’ research activities, conference participation and other academically-oriented travel needs. Travel plans are not necessary to apply for these grants. Funding requests for late spring term travel/research needs may also be considered if expenses will occur after the application deadline

Outstanding Undergraduate and Graduate Paper Awards (yearly)

• Latina/o Studies recognizes excellent scholarship in the field. Faculty members teaching Latina/o Studies courses are welcome to nominate their undergraduate and graduate students' best papers for this award. We accept nominations during the spring semester. Submit your nomination. Deadline: TBD for 2026-2027

Latinx Studies Award for Outstanding Service (yearly)

• Latinx Studies recognizes the role of faculty members and graduate students in making Latinx Studies a thriving scholarly community. Each year, a faculty member or graduate student will be recognized for their service to the program.
