Associate Professor Ignacio Corona, Department of Spanish, and Associate Professor Jesus Lara, Knowlton School of Architecture received an award from the College of Arts and Sciences to team-teach a course in Spring 2016 titled "Latino Urbanism and the Reinvention of the American City." The course will cover key themes in Latino urbanism, from the origins of Latin America's urban experience to the socio-economic dynamics that underlie the demographic shifts that have influenced urban change in both Latin American and the U.S. It will examine the social and cultural life of parks, sidewalks, plazas, and other shared spaces.
