The Latina/o Studies Program at OSU thanks President Michael V. Drake for his statement affirming Ohio State’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. In light of the recent executive orders on immigration and foreign visas, we applaud his commitment to consistently applying current policies on personal data, and to protecting the rights of all members of the OSU community without regard to race, religion, national origin or immigration status. This reaffirmation of our university’s mission and values is heartening, and it reflects the outpouring of support in our campus and the wider community for DACA, Muslim and immigrant students.
