The Latina/o Midwest 2.0

Latino Midwest : Theresa Delgadillo received a seed grant of $5000.00 from the OSU Humanities Institute in support of a proposal for a regional collaboration with Latina/o Studies faculty on “Latina/o Creativity in the Midwest.” This project will focus on Latina/o imagination and creation of dynamic, new multiethnic, multiracial, and multilingual cultural landscapes in the region. Faculty from OSU, the University of Iowa, Indiana University, University of Nebraska, University of Illinois, Northwestern University, University of Notre Dame, and Michigan State University are confirmed participants in this project, which is a continuation of a regional collaboration and emerging network to generate and support research in Latina/o Studies in the Midwest that began at the University of Iowa in 2012. Participants will submit a proposal for the Mellon Foundation Humanities Without Walls Grant Competition on “The Global Midwest.”
