All of the activities are free, open to the public and suitable for all ages.  The evening's events will kick off with a book launch for local artist Rafael Rosado at the Wexner bookstore. Rosado's graphic novel, Call Me Iggy (2024) tells the story of Ignacio “Iggy” García an Ohio-born Colombian American teen searching for his place in his school, his community, and country.  The event will also have reflections about our “muertos,” personal ofrendas, a "Living Altars" performance by the performance art group Taco Reparations Brigade, a limited-edition 2024 calavera poetry book, and a mini-comic making station provided by local artist Anthony Pomales.  Free refreshments include tamales and hot chocolate with traditional pan de muertos. We welcome you to celebrate departed loved ones and participate in this vibrant Latinx tradition with Mesoamerican Indigenous roots. Free and open to the public. Free and open to the public.
